Explore Twenty-Nine Latest Game Cards from Magic's TMNT Set (Including a Commander Deck!)

Everyone's beloved pizza-loving superheroes are arriving to the popular trading card game. The popular TCG's publisher, Wizards of the Coast, unveiled a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a special panel held at NYCC. Could this be a radical new set or simply another Universes Beyond cash grab? We'll let you decide.

Check out below at all the details announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including some useful background. Everything listed here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — the Pizza Bundle arrives a couple of weeks after on March 27.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before diving into all the various unique products and bundles available, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by the developers. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters should run $37.99 per booster.

Let's unpack a couple of shell-shocking details. First, there's a new mechanic called Sneak, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu, where gamers can cheat powerful creatures onto the battlefield whenever an attacking creature goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that Sneak can apply to non-creature spells too. The designers also used this chance to refine the mechanic a bit (Sneak is treated as casting, as opposed to the older mechanic). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are players will encounter Sneak in future sets moving forward.

“If we ever go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use the original ability because that plane is it originated and it is iconic to that,” an experienced game designer explained. “However on other planes, since the rules are cleaner and Sneak will be in standard, it's more likely we’ll use the updated version.”

That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is one of four special cards with special art designed exclusively for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist the co-creator.

Oh, and, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which allows playing game cards that aren't in your deck, so was I. But according to the developers, that's now a official card in every format of Magic.

In any case, here are the highly unusual full-art lands from the TMNT set:

As per Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. The designers say they were careful to make sure the new cards and mechanics meshed well with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I led the development for over a year and we knew it would be Standard-legal and which sets were going to be near it in standard,” a lead designer says. “Our goal was to make sure that they work well with certain expansions including Edge of Eternities.”

For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifact cards.

“They combine to provide the pieces for a fun Standard-legal deck,” he says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power

After declining to design any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only a single precon, but it does come with six different legendary creatures that can serve as your commander based on how you combine them (five of the cards include a unique Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two of them in the command zone rather than only one). Take a look below:

The Turtle Power deck is set at $69.99, though the price may rise due to demand. Wizards told that it includes 43 brand-new cards altogether, which translates to an extra 37 TMNT-themed game cards in addition to the six legendary commanders pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests about 20 reprinted cards if we estimate the precon includes 37 land cards.)

How will the Turtles version of Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and find out.

TMNT Bundle (Regular)

Typically, Wizards is offering a collection. It costs $69.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • Fifteen Traditional foil land cards
  • Fifteen Non-foil basic lands
  • 2 helper cards
  • 1 Foil promotional card
  • 1 Oversized spindown life counter
  • 1 storage box

Pizza-Themed Bundle

This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it comes in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Each pizza-themed bundle costs $99.99 and includes the following:

  • Nine Play Boosters
  • One Collector Booster
  • Twenty-five Regular pizza-themed lands
  • Five Traditional foil pizza-themed lands
  • 2 Traditional foil Pizza Bundle promo cards
  • 2 Reference cards
  • 1 Oversized life tracker
  • One storage box

If you’re wondering about the “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s essentially a reprinted older card with brand-new Turtle-themed artwork. The team revealed an example for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza slice. There are six distinct Pizza Bundle promo cards in total.

The Pizza Bundle launches a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This special bundle is designed for a four-person draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

  • Twelve Play Boosters (ideal for a group of four to play draft)
  • One Premium Booster (also known as, the reward for winning)
  • 90 Regular basic lands (to build your deck)
  • 10 Non-foil token cards
  • 1 drafting guide (a one-sheet instruction sheet to drafting this expansion)

Turtle Team-Up

Lastly, the developers are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to create Magic game products specifically for beginners. In this case, the cooperative set is a unique product of prebuilt decks that allow two players team up to face a “Boss” enemy deck that plays automatically.

The general idea here that every Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures included in the Boss deck. Each Boss automatically plays an additional card per turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
